Although being interested in photography and filmmaking from an early age, Lee went on to study graphic design at Falmouth University at degree level. This gave him a strong foundation of critical thinking, composition skills and use of visual metaphors. Upon completion, however, he very quickly fell back in love with cameras and filmmaking, enjoying its' visceral, human-centric process. For the following 7 years he worked his way through assisting, self-shooting and educating himself in lighting and deep technical understanding of cameras.
Alongside cinematography, Lee continues to experiment with photography and music production, both of which feed into his work. He enjoys collaborating with a mixed range of creative professionals, from set designers, artists, choreographers and musicians.
